Time and time again, sace6 has proved their value as a standout band in the scene. Constantly breaking barriers and re-defining what it means to be an artist with every release, and their new EP is further proof of that. Limerence, the bands debut EP, is a 6 track, self-produced project which captures what it feels like to be trapped in the destructive and yet beautiful cycle of infatuation.

Wake up opens up Limerence, a haunting and emotionally driven track that builds a sense of tension, from its first initial chilling drop to the slow layered instrumentation to the final piano outro, which almost lingers like the final breath of denial. It's just a glimpse into the composition and production that the rest of the EP has to offer.
Limerence includes notable collaborations, such as Matt McAndrew from Rain City Drive on easy exit. It's an intense duet that captures the push & pull of trying to let go. The emotions of this song in particular stand out through the crushing breakdowns, aching vocals and sharp lyricism.
"Do you see our demise is in white lies and exit signs".
Jxdn also features on the song velvet, an ambient track with smooth vocals & themes focusing on that previously mentioned overwhelming cycle of infatuation, desire and attraction felt within the emotion, limerence.
The 3rd track, said and done, hits you like the gut-punch of limerence. With the majority of vocals being led by band member, Noah Thomas, it is unapologetically heavy, immediately immersing you into a visceral and intense experience. Said and done embodies the cathartic release of the emotions of betrayal, showcasing pain and anger with raw unfiltered honesty.
Devotion was the first single on the limerence to hit streaming platforms, marking the start of this new era & introducing Noah Thomas as part of sace6. It gave us an introduction into the emotions that this EP conveys, with Sace's signature R&B-influenced vocals, Noah's piercing screams and the heavy metal-inspired riffs, it was the perfect lead-in to this new sound.

The title track, limerence, quickly became a fan favourite. With its evocative vocals, mesmerizing melodies & dreamy instrumentals, every emotion and theme portrayed in this EP is wrapped up into a 5-minute-long soundscape. Wrapping up the EP with a blend of Sace's vocals and Noah's screams repeating "You've got my body in your hands", limerence is capturing the descent into emotional captivity, being consumed by this feeling of longing. Every minute of this track offers you a new experience, musically and emotionally.
With the release of this project, sace6 is signalling that they are a fresh, authentic, and promising band ready to make an impact in not just the alternative scene, but the music scene as a whole, a wave worth following. This EP is a melancholy & powerful portrayal of the ache and beauty of yearning, not just a collection of cliche love songs. It is a guided experience through the emotion of limerence. It is unapologetically human.
"limerence. our first body of work. written to stay true to not only the meaning/ feeling of the word, but to ourselves unapologetically as much as possible. personally the feeling of limerence hurts, and it always feels exactly the same, like there's a standard of what love should be. a constant search for the traits of someone i don't even know anymore in everyone else because i'm comfortable that way. writing these songs was letting go. being uncomfortable." - @sace6 on instagram.
