If you somehow missed The Sukis' first performance in Bristol, this will give you a

glimpse into how the show went. They have hit it off with their first England tour, with

Bristol as one of the stops. The Sukis have always been able to provide shows with a lot

of enthusiasm; this review will see if they live up to the anticipation.

The Sukis consist of four members: Tige (the frontman), James (lead guitar), Freddie

(bass), and Ed (drums). The band's particular fusion of alternative and indie rock music

drew members of all ages to the show, some being fans and some locals who wanted to

watch a show. The Sukis, a band from Liverpool, are well-known for their energetic mix

of alternative and indie rock styles, creating songs that are both nostalgic and modern,

pulling inspiration from British alternative groups and fusing aspects of garage rock.

They do this with captivating guitar riffs, upbeat rhythms, and a British touch to define

their music.

At the start of the performance, Tige encouraged everyone to go forward, which excited

the audience to watch them up close. They got the crowd excited about their

performance right away with their song, "Animo," which captivated the audience with the

immediate guitar hook and catchy melody. The Sukis' most recent single, "To No One,"

was the next song they performed. With their words and performance truly kicking off,

To No One demonstrates how their music has evolved while staying at their roots since

they initially formed in 2020. In anticipation of hearing their newest song live, fans were

soaring and dancing at this time.

The Sukis continued with their hit songs “Bureaucratic Smack”, “Morning Sun” and

“Cherryade”. The Sukis then sang “Windmill Hill,” one of their throwback songs, and the

crowd went wild, with fans chanting along and experiencing the nostalgic feelings the

music invokes. As individuals of all ages jumped and danced, the song's contagious

energy brought in an electrifying scene that was both joyous and intensely emotional

when hearing an older song of theirs. As the show continued, The Sukis played an

unreleased song for the crowd called “Olivier.” Singer Tige brought the energy by

shouting into the mic and hitting it off right away. The crowd was ecstatic and fans were

captivated by the band's new sound by dancing along, even though the song was

unknown. The catchy tune and guitar beat had already captured the attention of fans,

who were excited to hear where the song would lead. With the last two songs being The

Sukis biggest hits and fan favourites, “Intimacy” and “Becca”, the crowd was exhilarated

to hear their biggest songs, which was the perfect way to end the show.

After the show, the band took photos with fans and signed merchandise such as posters

and setlists. One fan, Sarah, said: “They turned the stage into something magical,

and hearing the songs I've adored for so long come to life was unforgettable. The

Sukis gave an incredible live performance that I will never forget.” The

performance served as an example of the sheer power of live music in the end. The

Sukis' intimate and thrilling performance demonstrated their capacity to try different

sounds without losing sight of their beginnings. It appears that they have just recently

started to push limits, based on this show, It's easy to assume that their next tour will be

an event to watch, so be sure to catch it.
