Birmingham indie rockers Overpass wrapped up their UK tour with a close at the Cardiff venue, The Globe, with a performance that demonstrated their progress and growth. The Globe's cosy atmosphere made it the ideal setting for a vibrant and memorable evening. Overpass has already established a devoted fan base, as seen by the large number of people who crammed into the venue and began singing along from the very first note.

"Be Good to Yourself," a fan favourite, was the band's first song, and it immediately filled the
room with excitement and expectation. The Globe was engulfed in a wash of deep blue light as the opening chords were played, giving the audience an enchanting yet energising glow. Before the crowd burst into song, singing along nearly as loudly as the band. Riding high on that explosive opening, Overpass jumped right into the rest of their set, starting with "Right Time," a song that has had over a million Spotify plays and is undoubtedly a fan favourite. The audience's response was immediate, they cheered the band's first notes and sang along to every word. Its lively speed and catchy chorus maintained a high level of energy, which is the very reason it has grown to be one of their most known songs.

Overpass took the audience on a musical trip throughout the evening, flawlessly fusing their
most recent albums with songs from their early years. The persistent emotional depth that has always been at the core of their work was emphasised by this careful blending, which also demonstrated their development as musicians. From the raw, optimistic energy of their early days to the more reflective sound, each song told a distinct tale and represented a different stage of their journey. Additionally, By performing a few unreleased songs, Overpass provided fans a sneak peek at what's to come. Among these, "Union Station" was a notable fan favourite. It was catchy, guitar-heavy, and expressed the confident and bold, lyrical intensity that characterises their music. Despite not having an official release, the band has performed it at recent concerts and a few festivals, and the familiarity was evident. As if it were already released the fans responded with immense cheers and sang along. If the audience's response was any indication, "Union Station" is on track to become one of their most popular songs.

Overpass played two of their favourite songs, "3AM" and "Beautiful," to close up their performance. Although "Beautiful" slowed things down with a more emotional, introspective ending, "3AM" offered a last rush of enthusiasm, with the audience chanting along word for word. Already beloved by fans and having strong streaming figures, both songs were even more loved live. It was clear from the vibe in the room as the final notes faded and the lights went down.
